CASE STUDY — FOOD & BEVERAGE / PALLETISING / AU

Food manufacturer

NAME WITHHELD AT CUSTOMER REQUEST

A food manufacturer replaced manual palletising with an ARR rental system. Installed in a single business day with production running throughout, it lifted throughput, lowered operating costs and took the lifting off the team — and the cash that would have gone to CapEx went to new product launches instead.

INSTALL — NO OPERATIONAL DOWNTIME
1 DAY
(01) THE CHALLENGE

End-of-line palletising was a manual handling task: repetitive lifting, physical strain on the team, and a workplace injury claims history to go with it. Automating it the conventional way meant an upfront capital purchase — money the business would rather keep in reserve for product launches and growth.

(02) THE DECISION

The rental model changed the shape of the decision. A monthly payment instead of a capital outlay meant the operation could automate without touching its cash reserves, and could weigh the system on operating cost rather than on a business case for capital.

(03) THE DEPLOYMENT

ARR supplied a robotic palletising system programmed for the line. Installation took one business day and production continued throughout — no operational downtime. ARR provided operator training, technical support and operational data insights so the system could be tuned after go-live. When a damaged component needed replacing during the service period, ARR processed and resolved it within standard service timelines.

(04) THE RESULTS — IN THEIR WORDS
“The rental framework allowed [the business] to deploy automation while maintaining financial flexibility. The system met the company’s requirements for safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.”
